Thanks for the comment; I used a piece of software called Face Robot to generate the rig for the face. This software comes packaged within Softimage.
There’s no muscle system really, it’s a combination of bones, user defined shapes (Face Robot calls them “Sculpts”) and painted wrinkle/stress maps.
